Fried Chicken But Not Really

Sur La Table has amazing shit in that store and I always walk out with something mesmerizing, it's like a food lover's version of Toys "R" Us. My most recent purchase was an Air Fryer. I have been playing around with our new HealthyFry Air Fryer non stop and it is simply f*@<king amazing. This appliance is a kitchen game changer. Not only do you get that satisfying crunchy outer layer on your foods, they retain their moisture inside.

If you've been in the fitness game for a while, we all know chicken gets boring and gross over time.  Also, traditional pan cooking or grilling leaves those delicious charred marks on the chicken, Well, those charred pieces, yea that's a carcinogen, don't eat it. With an Air Fryer you don't have to worry about that, which makes me happy and healthier!

Now I can say adios to traditionally cooked (sometimes dry AF) chicken! Adios black burnt spots that cause cancer! The past few weeks I have been having fun cooking lots of different things with our HealthyFry Air Fryer. My favorite thing to cook in this machine is meat! Yes you can cook meat in this thing and it can be the best meat you've had. I have been experimenting with different temps and the timer to get the perfect chicken breast.  What I have found is slicing the chicken breast in half to make it a bit thinner- makes cooking easier.

I turn the Air Fryer on and let it heat up with nothing it for 2 minutes (This is just a preference for me, you don't have to do this). I spray coconut oil (Choose an oil of choice with a high smoke point) on the chicken and toss the chicken in a bowl and add rosemary, sage, thyme, salt and pepper on both side of the meat.

Place the chicken in the machine, turn the temp to 370 degrees and cook for 10 minutes. Then, flip chicken over spray lightly with a little more coconut oil and cook for another 10 minutes. I flip it over again for an additional 2 minutes in the fryer. Thats it, you're done! I like to wait about 5 minutes after cooking chicken so the juices can settle and the breast retains its moisture inside.
